Adjusting neck tilt
On a Fender-style guitar or bass with a bolt-on neck, you can set the neck tilt to bring it within range of the individual neck saddles before setting the action. This can well worthwhile, even if you're happy with the action of your guitar but the saddles are so low, there are grub screws digging into your hand, for instance.
