Starting next month in Playmusic, I'll be looking at wiring mods that might deliver a Holy Grail: classic Burns, Fender and Brian May Red Special tones in one workable instrument! The hard part is not just working out how to combine series and parallel wiring options, it's reducing the number of switches to produce a giggable guitar. Fortunately, I've managed to rope in veteran guitarist and circuit designer Deaf Eddie, who's spent decades refining his ideas. We'll not only publish the circuit diagrams, we'll let you hear the results and tell you where you can get the bits to do the mods yourself. Let me know, if you have any wiring ideas on your wish list. Cheers, Si
